Who can start a chapter?

Anyone with a passion for music, leadership, and community service is welcome to apply! We do require that our chapter leaders be at least 13 years old (8th grade+) in order to start a new chapter.

Do I need prior leadership experience?

While prior leadership experience is recommended, we primarily look for students with initiative and reliability!

What are the responsibilities of a chapter founder/leader?

Accepted Answer

Leaders will personally reach out to local senior homes, organize performances, and coordinate members. Furthermore, leaders are responsible for managing their own social media page and establishing local presence in their community.

How many members are required to start a chapter?

Three members is the minimum number of members needed to start a chapter, but 9-12 members is recommended for long-term sustainability.

Yes. Applicants must be at least 13 years old and are in 8th grade or above.

What does the application process look like?

Most applications are reviewed within a few weeks. Selected chapters may be chosen to have an interview with MOH executives for final approval.

Yes. Approved chapters will receive detailed chapter guides, branding guidelines, and social media strategies to help them plan successful performances and grow the chapter’s presence.

Yes. Starting a chapter is free, but leaders are responsible for organizing events and managing logistics locally.

A Music of Harmony chapter is a a local branch of our nonprofit dedicated to spreading the joy of music to their community through senior home performances, benefit concerts, and fundraising.

Chapters range from 6 to 50+ members and can be formed as school clubs, community groups, or statewide initiatives.
