Meet The Team

Devin Saljuud is a passionate oboe performer and dedicated musician, currently a senior at Glenda Dawson High School in Pearland, Texas. As President and Co-Founder of the Music of Harmony – Pearland Branch, he leads volunteer musicians in monthly performances at senior homes and participates in annual concerts that raise funds for humanitarian causes around the world. Devin performs with the Houston Youth Symphony and has earned individual recognition as a TMEA All-State oboist (2023–2025). He also plays with the Dawson High School Wind Ensemble and serves as Head Drum Major of the Dawson Marching Band. His musical achievements include multiple Division I Superior Ratings at Solo & Ensemble Competitions, invitations to perform at the Midwest Clinic, and participation in the American Festival for the Arts Summer Intensive. Beyond music, Devin is a dedicated swim coach and athlete, serving as a Junior Coach for the Pearland Pirates Swim Team and previously competing with Pearland Aquatics and the Dawson varsity swim team. His leadership in both music and athletics reflects his commitment to teamwork, mentorship, and community service.

Leah is currently a sophomore at Glenda Dawson High School. She has been playing piano for over nine years. Some of her major achievements are winning bronze at the 2021 and 2023 Chopin Youth Competitions, as well as first place in the 2024 and 2025 HMTA Piano Contests. Aside from music, Leah also participates in art and math competitions, winning prizes at local, state, and national levels. Her goal is to spread the joy of music for others to enjoy.

Joshua Meng is currently a freshman at Glenda Dawson High School in Pearland, Texas. He has played tenor trombone and bass trombone for over three years, studying under Brian Logan, a renowned trombonist in the Houston Area. Some of his musical achievements are multiple Division 1 Superior Ratings at solo and ensemble competitions, invitations to perform at the Music For All National Clinic and the Midwest International Clinic, and placements in Region Jazz and Region Band competitions. He marched with the Dawson Eagle Marching band in their 2025 show "Ring of Fire" and currently plays with the Dawson Wind Ensemble as the first chair bass trombone. Outside of music, Joshua is also a chess national master. He has been in the U.S. top 30 for his age group since 2021 and has represented the state of Texas on a national stage. Additionally, he has received the President's Volunteer Service Award Gold Medal and has accumulated over almost 300 hours of community service. He hopes that through music he will be able to contribute to the lives of more people, as music has to him.
