Henry Xu, President at Sugar Land Branch
Henry Xu is a senior at Clements High School. He has been a part of Music of Harmony since 2018. Henry has played violin for 10 years, starting in 2nd grade. As a violinist, he participated in all 3 years of middle school All-Region and 3 years of high school All-Region. He also played in the Texas All-State Orchestras for 3 years. Additionally, Henry is a 4-year member of the Houston Youth Symphony and is currently in the Symphony Orchestra. Outside of music, Henry enjoys playing with his dog and hiking in national parks.

Ruian Mao, Vice President at Sugar Land Branch & Webmaster
Ruian is a junior at Stephen F. Austin High School in Sugarland, Texas. He has been participating in Music of Harmony since 2018 and is very excited about being a leader in MOH. He loves to play piano and has grown up around pianists, with his sister also playing piano. He started playing the piano when he was five and is still living in Wuhan, China. After coming to the US in 2016, he continued to play the piano after one year of getting used to the US environment with Mr. Chong Zou. He started to participate in Music of Harmony in the third grade. Ruian has passed the ABRSM grade 7 piano test with merit in 2022 and the ABRSM grade 8 piano test in 2023. Ruian also won Gold and Bronze in the Final Round of The 11th Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia International Youth Piano Competition 2022. When he is not playing piano, Ryan enjoys listening to a variety of different musical genres, reading, and playing sports like basketball and soccer. |
Sophie Xu, Team Leader at Sugar Land Branch
Sophie Xu is a sophomore at Clements High School. She has been participating in Music of Harmony since 2017. Sophie has played piano for 8 years, beginning in kindergarten, and violin for 7 years, beginning in second grade. She has participated in 3 years of middle school All-region and 1 year of high school All-region, as well as 1 year of Texas All-State Orchestra. Additionally, Sophie is a 2 year member of Houston Youth Symphony. Outside of music, Sophie enjoys dancing and biking.

Eric Xiong, Team Leader at Sugar Land Branch
Eric Xiong is currently a freshman at Strake Jesuit college preparatory. Eric has been playing piano for 7 years and has been a member of MOH since 2021. Eric’s hobbies outside of music include swimming and debate. He wants to spread love in our community through music as well as taking on a leadership role in Music of Harmony.

Shirley Zou, Team Lead at Sugar Land Branch
Shirley Zou is a freshman at HSPVA (Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts). She has been studying piano for 11 years and has performed with the Fort Bend Orchestra, as well as accompanied numerous choirs and instrumentalists. Shirley is excited to serve as a leader at Music of Harmony and share her passion for music with others. Beyond piano, she enjoys singing, dancing, composing, and playing field hockey and lacrosse.
