Felix Shen, President at Sugar Land Branch
Felix Shen is a incoming senior at Clements High School. He has played cello for 7 years and started in third grade. Felix studies with Mrs. Cindy Fu. He has participated in All-region in all three years of middle school and also played in the high school All-region for 2 years. Throughout his years in middle school and high school, Felix participated in the Solo and Ensemble UIL contest. Felix has also been in the Houston Youth Symphony since 2017 and is currently in the Symphony Orchestra. During 2021, Felix participated in the Texas All-state Symphony Orchestra, being the 13th chair. Finally, Felix has been in Music of Harmony since 2017. Outside of cello, Felix is a swimmer for the First Colony Swim Team. He enjoys swimming and also drawing. He hopes to spread happiness through music to all of the seniors.

Ryan Mao, Vice President at Sugar Land Branch & Webmaster
Ryan is a incoming sophomore at Austin High School in Sugarland, Texas. He has been participating in Music of Harmony since 2018 and is very excited about being a leader in MOH. He loves to play piano and has grown up around pianists, with his sister also playing piano. He started playing the piano when he was five and is still living in Wuhan, China. After coming to the US in 2016, he continued to play the piano after one year of getting used to the US environment with Mr. Chong Zou. He started to participate in Music of Harmony in the 3rd grade. Moving on to the accomplishments, Ryan has passed the ABRSM grade 7 piano test with merit in 2022 and the ABRSM grade 8 piano test in 2023. Ryan also won Gold and Bronze in the Final Round of The 11th Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia International Youth Piano Competition 2022. When he is not playing piano, Ryan enjoys listening to a variety of different musical genres, playing video games, and playing sports like basketball and soccer. |
Henry Xu, Vice President at Sugar Land Branch
Henry Xu is a rising junior at Clements High School. He has been a part of Music of Harmony since 2018. Henry has played violin for 9 years, starting in 2nd grade. As a violinist, he participated in all 3 years of middle school All-Region and 2 years of high school All-Region. He also played in the Texas All-State Orchestras for 2 years. Additionally, Henry is a 2-year member of the Houston Youth Symphony and is currently in the Symphony Orchestra. Outside of music, Henry enjoys playing with his dog and hiking in national parks.
